AI tools and credits

Every AI suggestion waits for your review: nothing changes in your store until you select Apply (Accept in the Website editor).

Where to find it

• Assistant: on Home it's the main chat; on every other screen, select Ask in the top bar (or press ⌘J) to open it beside what you're working on. It answers questions about your store and prepares changes as cards: select Apply or No thanks, and Undo puts things back. Press ⌘K to jump to any screen or ask a question.
• Product editor: the Write with AI panel on the Basics tab writes a description or improves it; under More, it changes its tone or writes the search engine title and description.
• Products list: select products, then Write copy with AI to write copy in bulk. Review the results in Advanced → AI tools and Apply all or one at a time.
• AI tools (Advanced → AI tools): Product from a photo, Bulk product copy and Fill in missing alt text and tags.
• Website editor (Advanced → Website editor): restyle your website or rewrite a section's copy.
• Policies (Advanced → Policies): draft your store policies.

To write alt text and tags automatically for new images and imported products, select Store settings → on the AI tools screen and turn on Write missing alt text and tags with AI on the AI tab.

Credit costs

• Product copy: 2
• Bulk copy: 1 per product
• Product from a photo: 3
• Alt text: 0.2 per image; tags: 0.2 per product
• Policies (all four): 10
• Assistant: 10 per message
• Restyle your website: 15; rewrite a section: 2

Failed or declined requests give their credits back.

Getting credits

New accounts get 300 welcome credits. Paid plans add credits every month: Starter 1,000, Growth 4,000, Pro 10,000 and Agency 25,000 (yearly plans get the year's credits at once). Need more? Buy a pack in Advanced → Plan and billing (/studio/billing): 1,000 credits for $15, 5,000 for $59 or 15,000 for $149.
