Getting started

Getting started: create your store with /new

Describe your business in one box, sign in, and watch Cornerrr build your website in about a minute.

Video guide · 0:56 · 9 steps

Go to /new. You don't need an account to start.

1. Describe your business

In the big box, say what you do, who it's for and how people buy from you (up to 1,200 characters). Not sure what to write? Tap one of the examples under the box to start from it. You can also select Add your business name (optional). Then select Build my website.

2. Sign in

Select Continue with Google, or enter your email and select Email me a link (the link works once and expires after 15 minutes). Already have an account? Select I already have an account.

3. Watch your website being built

Cornerrr writes your words, pages and products, and chooses the colours, fonts and look while you watch. It takes about a minute. Then you land on Home with a welcome: what was made, a card to connect payments, and Other styles I made for you (the same words and products in a different look: select Use this style to switch, and you can undo it).

Your web address is made from your business name, for example yourshop.cornerrr.com. To use your own domain, see Use your own domain.

Or start from a ready-made design

Rather pick a design than describe your business? On /new, select Browse ready-made designs (or go to /new/themes). There are 33 complete websites, grouped by kind of business: food and drink, care and health, beauty, fitness, home services, trade and wholesale, shops and makers, creative work. Each has its pages, words and sample products.

Select Preview to see one on a computer or a phone, type What is your business called? and select Start with this design. After you sign in, the website is ready in seconds with your name everywhere the sample had its own. The words are the sample's until you change them: on Home, select Rewrite the words for my business and tell the assistant what you do.

What you get

  • A website on the Preview plan (no card needed) with 300 one-time AI credits.
  • Its look, pages, menus and collections already in place, plus labelled example products, so nothing starts empty.

Finding your way around

The menu on the left has what you use every day: Home, My website, Products (called Services or Plans for some businesses), Orders, Inbox, Customers, Payments, and Settings at the bottom. Everything else, like the website editor, AI tools, billing, web addresses, team, shipping, tax, policies and your other lists, is under Advanced. Search at the top (or ⌘K) jumps to any screen, and the Ask bar at the bottom of every screen asks the assistant.

The bar at the top has Ask (opens the assistant beside the screen you're on, or press ⌘J), View site, a preview button, Publish and Help. Press ⌘K to jump to any screen or ask a question.

Home is a chat with the assistant. Ask a question or say what to change. Changes appear as cards: nothing is saved until you select Apply (No thanks skips it), and Undo puts things back.

Inbox collects requests and messages from your website. Your replies are emailed from your store's name followed by "via Cornerrr", and answers come back to your own email.

Getting ready to sell

Home shows your next step and a Getting ready to sell list: Connect payments, Add what you sell, Make the website yours, Use your own web address (optional), Choose a plan and Open your store to customers. Most items have a button that takes you to the right screen, and each one ticks itself off when it's done. Once you've added your own products, Remove the example items appears too.

What Preview means

Preview stores are for building and testing. Search engines don't index them and checkout runs in test mode only. To take real orders, connect Stripe in live mode and choose a plan. Then select Publish at the top and Go live. Only owners and admins can go live.

Another website

Already signed in? /new builds another website if your plan has room for one. If it doesn't, you'll see See plans and Back to my website instead.
